We have re-organised our websites, barnbrook.net and virusfonts.com. Barnbrook now showcases all our design work, including the new remember Tibet animation, a book for the White Cube and the new Daichi Wo Mamoru Kai corporate identity. www.remembertibet.org launches

On the occasion of the Beijing Olympics opening this upcoming August 8th 2008, we will be asking people to remember Tibet’s struggle for independence against the undemocratic government of China. China will be in the spotlight and for once cares about what the world thinks about it. We need to act now and raise awareness of this issue.

The Posters of Discontent

We have been included in a show of political posters at Eastern Michigan University Art Gallery, The Posters of Discontent, which is timed to coincide with the US presidential election.

The show has been curated by Andrew Maniotes who has also designed a great poster using Tomohawk. It runs from 27th August — 9th October. More imformation can be found on the gallery website.

Daichi Wo Mamoru Kai Launches

We have been working on a new corporate identity for Daichi Wo Mamoru Kai, a Japanese company that produces organic food through it’s network of farmers; as well as lobbying the government on important issues through it’s NGO arm. We produced a radical multiple logo identity which we will be showcasing later this year on our website. In the meantime you can check out their site (not designed by us) at daichi.or.jp

Brno 2008 | 17/6—19/10/2008

Jonathan will be participating in the jury for the 23rd International Biennial of Graphic Design Brno 2008 in the Czech Republic. As well as the main competition show, the Brno Biennial features a specialist symposium and accompanying events over four months.

Collateral Damage Opens Tomorrow

Friday Late @ V&A

Celebrating the Blood on Paper exhibition, Barnbrook design was involved in the Friday late at the V&A museum last Friday (25th April). Thanks to everyone that came down and had a go at making at Book title, there were some inventive solutions which we might even put on the blog.
